I am wondering if there is anyone here who was never an online person but still liked the Becker online classes?

I liked them because i could go at my own pace, stop and pause whenever needed, and did not feel rushed. Only downside to that is you need to make sure you stay disciplined as it is easy to get distracted and not stay on course. I also heard from a lot of people that during the live courses all they do is play the online lectures so it is not really worth your time unless you think you are someone who needs the live courses to stay focused and on track. That is why I chose the online courses even though I preferred live lectures/classes in college.

I did Becker online classes and it was too fast paced for me, 2 chapters a week. If you don't keep up with the class schedule the teachers email you to tell you to keep up blah blah. It got annoying, but having a teacher available for questions was very handy. Some of them had additional handouts that I wouldn't have gotten if I did self-study. If you can do 2 chapters a week and want the additional support then I would say go with online classes. If you are disciplined and can keep to your own schedule then maybe go with online self study.

I don't have any experience with live classes, but if they are just playing the lectures then I wouldn't waste my time/gas taking the live classes.

Becker live classes are very much luck of the draw. I took live because I get more distracted by online classes. I got lucky that most of my teachers were good (I live in NJ). The only drawback about taking weekday classes (which I did for 2 parts) was that I found it impossible to wind down before going to bed. If you don't know anyone who took them in your area, registering for live classes is like playing Russian roulette with your time. I had a positive experience but not everyone will.

I did the live lectures and it is kind of hard, time wise. You will sit through 8 hours of lecture in one day. I find that I have learned better going through the material (watching lectures and writing my own notes) on my own. You should be fine with the o line program.

I am doing self study. I just think the time it would take to get to a class, get home could be better spent doing MCQs.

And yes, I agree about the quality of instructors. If you got a mediocre one it would be a big waste of time.
