Becker is for the Birds!!!!

Does anybody else agree with me that Becker is a terrible product? Does it get any better for Audit or FAR? I started with BEC, passed the exam, but was very unhappy with Becker. I took Reg next and came home from the test and said that Becker was absolutely useless! Sure enough I failed with a 71. I can’t complain too much because my company paid for the materials, but I do feel bad that it was such a HUGE waste of money.

Does anybody have any other suggestions on materials to use to pass Reg., Audit, and FAR?

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Back to spending another month studying for Reg., so happy, Merry Christmas to me!

I can't say whether it's for the birds, but I do know its quite pricey. I've managed to pass FAR & BEC just using the Wiley testbank and book at a fraction of the cost of Becker 🙂

Although I used Becker and passed all sections. I too think that they are overpriced. I would suggest Roger, he seems so energetic and when studying CPA you need an instructor who is energetic. I thought that I was for sure failing audit again and I started to look at the Roger audit price, glad that I don't need to buy it now.

But anyways, I would suggest Roger.

Thanks for the response! I've heard a lot of good on here about the Wiley test banks so I'm definitely going to invest in that for my Reg retake and see how it turns out.

I thought Becker was a great product for FAR, AUD and REG, it helped me pass BEC but for that section it was the least useful. No matter what review course you choose, you need to supplement it with a second or third source. I used the Wiley testbank in addition to Becker and found the combination of the two to be excellent.

    FAR - 87 (7/14/11)
    AUD - 94 (8/31/11)
    REG - 92 (10/19/11)
    BEC - 88 (11/30/11)

I'm also onboard with Wiley. I used the book only for REG and passed then supplemented with the test bank for AUD and passed. Also a lot more cost effective.

    REG - 79
    BEC - 75
    AUD - 84
    FAR - 75
Done...Thank you Wiley Books, Wiley Test Bank, and the NINJA Notes

I used only Becker self-study course and final review for both AUD and REG and passed both at first attempt. Didn't have time to look for any other materials and probably didn't need to. Had very limited time to prepare for AUD (mostly weekends), just finished listening to 5 lectures (missed ancillary materials), did all homework and supplemental questions and final review and it was enough to pass..and I’m not an auditor..so I think Becker provides a good knowledge to pass.

    REG 10/03/11 - 87
    AUD 11/22/11 - 79
    BEC,FAR- 2012
