I’m a recent grad and going to start studying for CPA. I heard that Becker fess include exam fees for one sitting for all 4 parts. Does anyone know if that is correct? And what are the fees to sit for exam if I choose to not go with becker?

I’ve also been reading how great Yeager is for some people. Can someone help me with pros/cons of Becker vs Yeager, I don’t care if it’s not from personal experience and just from reading blogs on this website.

The Becker materials do not include any exam fees. I believe the fees vary from state to state (I could be wrong) and are just under $200 per section.

I've heard Yeagar is better for those who need more of a teaching style course. Becker is more of an overall review course. I've used Becker for all of my sections and have been very pleased.

it might be a promotion in your area, but I have never heard that Becker fees include exam fees.

I'm a recent grad myself, and the only discount that I was able to get with Becker was $400 for recent grads. Absolutely nothing toward exam fees.

In regards to examination section fees, I believe it's different in every state. You should be able to find all important information on your state Board of Accountancy website.

Honestly, I am not in the position to recommend any review courses right now as I am yet to take my first exam on October 12. I'm currently using Becker, supplementing with Wiley test bank and Jeff's Ninja notes. We'll see how it goes…

    BEC - 10/12/2011 - 78
    AUD - 11/23/2011 - 84
    FAR - 02/22/2012 - 76 (I'll take it!)
    REG - 08/31/2012

I used Becker for all sections and was very happy. I purchased Jeff's ninja notes for REG, BEC and AUD. Wasn't aware of them when I took FAR.

If you're straight out of college, I think Becker would be a good fit for you.
