    Hey guys,

So I just finished up FAR 1 and FAR 2 in Becker.. I think I’ve been doing pretty well. My HW scores have ranged from 75-85 for each one. Is this considered “good” or “bad” for the first run through the questions. How did those who passed do with these HW questions their first time through.

    Thanks!

You're fine. I avg in the low 70's most of the time, but I don't read the chapter before doing the HW the 1st time.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

Honestly? I don't think it means anything your first time around. If you're watching the videos and skimming the book then immediately doing the HW you're going to have a higher average than if you didn't watch the videos. The real test is 4-6 weeks later when you go back and do it WITHOUT the books/lecture right behind them and see how much you retained. Your first time average shows you somewhat understand the material but take it with a grain of salt. My advice is to not write it off as knowing the material “well enough” and to keep on top of it with progress tests to make sure you retain it.

Aside from F1 (in which I scored >80% on all sections), I scored between 67-73% on about 3/4 of Becker homework assignments on my run through Becker. After completing all Becker problems once I went over to Wiley Test Bank and did 1,000 MCQ selecting the “not yet seen” option and scored an overall 69% (I don't see much value in repeating questions even once – more likely than not you'll remember the answer and it doesn't do much for you IMO). I scored an 88 on FAR. if you can keep those scores up, or even >70%, then I think you're more than fine. Just make sure you learn from mistakes by taking notes on every question you get wrong.

I think what helped me a lot for both FAR and REG (95) was rereading the entire Becker text over 3-4 days (~8hrs/day) within the 5 days before your test, taking notes on anything you aren't already 100% confident on.
