Becker homework: How to interpret the numbers used to identify the question?

I’m just curious. Are all of Becker’s homework questions previous CPA questions, or do they make some up?

The software lists two numbers (sometimes just one) on the left of the screen under the question #. For example:

    CPA-08470

    BEC C03 #1

Does anyone know how to interpret. Does this mean the question was given in a BEC exam in 2003? That’s just a guess, maybe a stupid one lol.

    Thanks 😉

    REG - 86 (11/22/11)
    BEC - 88 (1/9/12)
    FAR - 79 (2/29/12)
    AUD - 71 (5/7/12) - Got a little lazy. Retake 7/30/12 - 85 on the retake woohoo!

@Scrittrice34, Becker and Wiley both purchase their questions from the AICPA. That I know, but I have no idea how to interpret the numbers! I've had some that end in 2003 or “2004-adapted,” so I am assuming with those ones it means the year! lol

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

@Scrittrice34 – Some of BEcker's questions are previous CPA questions and some of them they make up. You have bigger and better things to worry about than how Becker classifies its questions. I can assure you that there is no such classification on the exams.

    Thanks, guys.

I know it's not important. It was just something that has made me curious since I started using Becker, and I was wondering if anyone knew. I suppose I'll stop procrastinating and trying to figure it out and just focus on the homework. lol
