Hey All – My Becker subscription ran out. Due to some other obligations I was only able to take FAR and got a 74. I can repay for Becker for $1695 or switch to another course altogether. I will probably supplement with Ninja materials too. Any suggestions on if I should stay with Becker for the ‘discount’ or other courses you recommend instead?

You might consider looking at Yaeger materials as well. The lectures are pretty good and are what I used to pass all four sections. Yaeger is about mid range price wise.

Just a couple of thoughts I tried to remember as I went through the journey of passing the CPA exams:
Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

Personally I really liked Becker. I felt it really prepared me well for the exam. The lectures are pretty well done and they give a really good foundation for the material. Just learn to “put the highlighter down” and focus on the content instead of simply highlighting everything. The MCQ tends to be more “wordy” and complicated than the actual exam but that's to your benefit since it really helps to drill home concepts.

But Becker is not cheap. I couldn't imagine signing up for Becker, paying them and then not actually use it. Yes sometimes “life” happens but a big part of passing the CPA exam is discipline and the ability to minimize distractions as much as possible. Sure some things can't be avoided but it's up to you to avoid anything that can be.

I did supplement Becker with NINJA for BEC and REG though. For $40 a section you can't beat the price.
