Becker for $1695 or another CPA review course

Hey All – My Becker subscription ran out. Due to some other obligations I was only able to take FAR and got a 74. I can repay for Becker for $1695 or switch to another course altogether. I will probably supplement with Ninja materials too. Any suggestions on if I should stay with Becker for the ‘discount’ or other courses you recommend instead?

It depends on how you study. I use Becker and don't think it is all that great given how much it costs. The ten point Combo sounds like it could be a nice alternative. Also look into CPAexcel

For that price it's going to be comparable to other review courses. I would go with Becker and supplement with ninja mcq for $47. Coupon hyia will save u 15%

I tried Becker, but I would not waste my money on them if I were to start over. Roger worked great for me. And 2 weeks before my exam I purchased NINJA MCQ and used it for my final review. I passed every single exam I took since I switched to Roger. Roger also has a “start fresh” (if I remember correctly) program which means that if you paid for a different review and did not work for you, you can get Roger's at a discount. Roger & NINJA MCQ are my way of success and I would definitely recommend it.

CPAexcel. It's cheaper and it doesn't expire.

    FAR - Aug '14 - 90
    AUD - Jan '15 - 91

The Complete Gleim system (premium) is only $1299 for all 4 sections. I like it so far.

You can also mix and match systems and purchase per part instead of everything at once.

    FAR - 08/30/15 - 90
    AUD - 11/12/15 - 92
    REG - 01/19/16 - 82
    BEC - 02/29/16 - 83

Passed all on 1st attempt using GLEIM (full program) and NINJA (MCQ only)!!!

I agree with moreinfo2013 to go with Rogers. It's already half the price of Beckers and you do get a discount if you had done a CPA prep course somewhere else and it didn't work out for you. (I'd assume you need the proof of purchase for the other place) I'd recommend to supplement it with Ninja MCQ and Notes, since from my experience, Rogers MCQ is good if you want to learn the basic fundamentals, but the MCQ is slightly on the easier side..

    BEC - 78
    REG - In Progress..
    AUD - In Progress..
    FAR - In Progress..

I really enjoyed Becker + Ninja for FAR, AUD and (so far) REG. I wasn't really impressed with Becker's BEC portion.

With that said I couldn't imagine going through this process without Becker & Ninja.

Gleim. Waaay cheaper and prepared me very well. Prepares you better than Becker from what others have said.

Thank you all for the input. I'm wavering between Roger and Becker. It looks like Roger is $1295 with the discount and Becker is $1695. Does anyone know if any of the Roger multiple choice questions are available offline? I see there is an IOS app but it is unclear if it can be used offline and if there is an extra charge for the content. It says in app purchases available. I'm going to be traveling a lot in the next two months so offline question access would be really helpful

$1695 and $1295 is not a discount…..that's a mortgage payment, or mortgage and car payment. Why spend that kind of money when you can get the 10 point combo for less. The reading material is better and the test bank is awesome unless you need those long drawn out lectures. I know some have been successful with Becker and Roger. But just think about it you have already spent on Becker and got a 74. If you just have to spend that kind of money, don't do without getting the ninja test bank, Don't get me wrong, not saying you can't pass with Becker or Roger, but you can pass a lot cheaper.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

Did you find Becker useful? If you enjoy the learning format of Becker, I would stick with it and supplement with NinjaMCQ for additional practice. You cant beat the price of Ninja MCQ.

    BEC - PASS JULY 2014
    FAR - PASS DEC 2014
    AUD - PASS FEB 2015
    REG - PASS MAY 2015

Its personal preference really, but my experience was this. I won Roger CPA review materials and used it for my first 2 tests and failed them both. I then got hired at Big 4 and they paid for Becker so I used Becker to pass FAR and REG. Becker was not working for the BEC (74) and AUD (73), so I switched to the Ninja 10 point combo for those exams. I passed both with just using the Ninja 10 point combo. If I had to do it again I would just use the 10 point combo, the MCQs were the most similar to the exam.
