Becker Final Review CPA Product…worth it? or waste ?So I have until 7/30 before i sit for FAR for the 3rd time…first time was a 61 (took it while still in college), i just got a 69 on 4/30…im finishing up ch9 tonight and i planned to loop back and redo all of the hw again, power skim and make a good formula/notes sheet. im getting nervous its a little hard to do while working full time, and givin the fact that the test is a month and a half away. Should i stick to my plan or go for the Becker Final Review?

I used it for REG, definitely worth it in my book. If you can get to a live class, I would highly recommend it over the software.

Thanks guys…i finished F9 tn…so tomorrow im going to start F1 and power-skim the chapters and redo all of the hws…ill try to make a formula packet too…if all goes to plan i should spend 2 days on each chapter so i should have time to use the final review. getting a 69 after studying so hard was like a kick to the spot where the sun doesnt shine… but im just using it as motivation to pass this time! im also going to take advantage of the new simulations the final review has. the sims are my weakness and im not even redoing them with the regular becker review bc i basically have them memorized at this point lol

I highly do not recommend buying any type of Becker course as it is on of if not the most expensive product and the lectures are not lectures they are strictly audios. Ask anyone who has the course about the “lecture”. The two knuckleheads Olinto and his friend/uncle simply talk as the camcorder pans down the page in the textbook as there is a red and yellow pen tool they use to show you wear to “highlight” and “write in the margin”. That is not a lecture that is an audio. You would think they would get up on a whiteboard like Roger or Yaegar but no, they seriously just talk while they are recording film of the book. So if you are interested in audio with book then go with wiley, ninja, gleim, bisk, but if you want a legit lecture where you view the instructor as he walks through steps on a whiteboard choose yaegar or roger. Becker is great at selling people they are the best but they are actually the worst in terms of cost/benefit.

You really don't get anything out of the final review that you would otherwise get from relooking at your notes or doing mcqs. The final review covers the main topic but OMITS alot of the little stuff from the main course that you might still get questions on. If you have money to burn get it, otherwise it's not going to be the difference of whether you pass or fail.

Honestly, if anything the Becker flashcards are much more useful.

For the same money you can get ninja notes, audio, flashcards (free), and Wiley TestBank 😉

Never used it. Only Becker. Try Ninja Notes – seems to have helped a lot on this forum.
