Hello, all. I’m taking my FAR exam on 10/14 and have used the Becker program. I’m now in the stage where it’s simply recommending taking the two practice exams and do practice progress tests over and over along with ‘reviewing your notes’.

For those who have used Becker, what would be your advice on how to approach the review over the next 11/12 days (since I’ve probably forgot some of the material)? I figure I’m going to save the final Sat/early part of Sunday for the Becker Final Review. I’m going to take the first practice exam this Sunday morning, and take the other practice exam on Wednesday or so.

    Thanks!

    FAR (Oct 2013) - 78
    BEC (Dec 2013) - 88
    REG (Feb 2014) - 92
    AUD (May 2014) - 98

    DONE!

nolan084- You can take the practice exams as many times as you want and it will provide new questions. I used that to identify my weak areas to see where I needed to study. Also, the practice exams and simulations will give you an idea of the actual format of the exam.

I bought the Becker flashcards and supplemented them with my own to refresh topics.

@auslaf Becker will provide new questions!?!? I thought it was just all the Qs in the homework and then the 2 practice exams. I was under the assumption that when you take a progress tests it's just generating Qs from your previous homework…

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

    DONE!!!! CA Candidate

The practice test in Becker uses a big database of MCQs so you should have different questions for each attempt. Every so often, you will see a repeat question, but most of them are different from the homework. I used to drill through practice tests of 20 or 30 questions so that I would be accustomed to mixing the topics, especially during the week before my exam.

I had the 2012 Becker set where they actually mailed me CDs and books. At the end of each chapter, there was a practice test that combined all of the previous chapters MCQs. It was an excellent refresher of past sections.
