I am taking REG in 2 weeks for the 4th time and am thinking about getting Becker Final Review, but I’ve never used anything Becker. Has anyone else done this where Becker was not your main review course but you used the final review and did you find it helpful? My original review course was Gleim and I’m now using Ninja in addition to that. I’m kind of willing to try anything I can at this point, just as long as I pass this test.

I used Becker (not the Final Review) + Ninja and passed FAR on my first try with a 87. I don't think you will get any more benefits from using the Becker Final Review since you already have Ninja to supplement your study with Gleim. They should be both sufficient enough.

All Becker Final Review is just additional questions (completely different from the regular Becker course) to practice with, but it doesn't even matter for you because you've never used Becker in the first place.

Is there any particular reason why you are considering switching from Gleim?

@Big4BeanCounter – When you supplement Ninja with Becker are you only utilizing the MCQ/SIMS on Ninja or were there other tools offered that you feel helped you achieve a passing score? I am taking REG for the second time and used Becker for round 1 and now have gained access to Ninja as well. I am struggling a bit finalizing my study plan; curious as to how you supplemented the two….

    Thanks!

@Big4BeanCounter – I only used Gleim for my first 3 attempts where I got a 62, 74, and a 73, and I gave my self at least a month or two for both retakes. So after my 3rd attempt, and since I've now lost credit for FAR, I finally saw that just using Gleim was not cutting it for me, so I purchased Ninja since I've read for so long that it's what put a lot of people over the edge when they were so close to passing like I've been. I just want to make sure I pass this time and am kind of willing to use anything I can get my hands on at this point.

I also used Gleim to pass my other three so I didn't see why I wouldn't be able to pass this one with it as well, but it seems like something was not clicking with Gleim when it comes to REG.

@Eric62685 – When I used the Ninja material to supplement Becker for FAR, I mainly used for additional MCQs. I read the Ninja notes here and there, but I don't think it would have made any significant difference for me. I like the Ninja MCQs because I was getting complacent with the Becker MCQs from doing them over and over, I just needed new MCQs to practice with.

I'm studying for AUD right now, and I'll start doing the Ninja MCQs for AUD once I finish going through all the Becker AUD materials. Also, I plan on using the Ninja AUD notes in addition to the MCQs. During the review week, I would go through the Becker MCQs in the first half of the day, then do the Ninja MCQs in the second half, and do some SIMs on Becker if I still have some time.

@Clockwork – I see. Since FAR was my first section of the CPA exam, I didn't want to take a risk, so I decided to use Ninja for additional MCQs. I can say, for sure, that Ninja MCQs helped preparing me, but I think I still could have passed FAR without the Ninja MCQs. It's still a great investment.

@Big4BeanCounter – Thanks man. That is the approach I have been using for my first week of studying and will continue with Ninja similarly to how you have utilized. Best of luck on the rest of your CPA journey!

worth noting: If you haven't used becker before they won't let you buy the final review. They only let becker users get the final review.
