I just took my first Becker final exam for FAR:

    Testlet 1 – 22/30 = 73%

    Testlet 2 – 26/30 = 86%

    Testlet 3 – 24/30 = 80%

    Sim 1 – 7/8 = 87%

    Sim 2 – 16/18 = 89%

    Sim 3 – 4/4 = 100%

    Sim 4 – 3/3 = 100%

    Sim 5 – 13/14 = 92%

    Sim 6 – 6/8 = 75%

    Sim 7 – 1/1 = 100%

Have any of you received similar scores on the practice exam and passed the real thing?? I take it on Thursday and this made me feel a little less nervous, but I’m worried that the actual exam will be harder than the Becker test! Also, are all of the simulations of equal weight? Or does the research question really only count for one point??

    FAR - 87 (7/14/11)
    AUD - 94 (8/31/11)
    REG - 92 (10/19/11)
    BEC - 88 (11/30/11)

I am brain dead from studying for reg right now so please disregard all spelling and or grammar mistakes. Also, I am not sure if this addresses any prior questions of this thread, regardless I felt like sharing as i'm sure this will help someone who stumbles upon this post.

I took FAR last window and had a very limited amount of time to study (what equated to approx. three weeks) so I really rushed through the material. I took the first practice final exam a week before my test date. I did awful getting in the 40's on each testlet. I was freaking out and felt so stupid. How had I just graduated with a major in accounting, gone through nine chapters and only learned 40% of the material?! I used the week I had to work on the areas that I had struggled on. I ended up getting a 75 on the actual exam. I also have a friend who got in the 40's as well on the practice exams the night before her test and she got a 79. So my advice would be to use the practice exams as a way to gauge the areas you're struggling with and go from there. It can be really discouraging but they are not necessarily indicative of how you will do on the real exam.

Moral of the story: Don't let the final exams get to you. Use them as a guide for your last days of study. Also, use the study time you have wisely and just keep working at it. To be honest accounting really is one of my weaker subjects, especially the topics in financial. I came close to giving up a couple of times and prob. would have if my mom hadn't managed to get me re-motivated. So I guess what I'm trying is: If you're feeling discouraged and frustrated and overwhelmed just keep working at it. Use all of the time you have, really focus and just keep at it. I thought for sure I had no chance of passing and really wanted to give up at points. Granted I barely made it, but if I could do it I promise you can as well!
