I just started Becker Fastpass and am 3 days into AUD. It’s not that bad, but intense. But here is my problem. I don’t know how to tackle the homework properly. I get most of answers wrong and it’s like a mental assault on my spirit and makes me doubt myself. I study the sections but feel rushed as I feel obligated to do the HW in one day after the 4 hour lecture. I don’t know what to do. How should I do the homework? Study first? I tried every method. Study, then do it. Do it after the lecture. Nothing works. I’m starting to doubt myself on whether I can pass the CPA exam 🙁

What are some ideas? For those of you complaining that you get a 70% on the first try WITHOUT looking at the book, you are smart. I feel so stupid right now… and on the verge of an anxiety attack. What should I do?

Also, I am doing Becker Fastpass online.

What is your study routine and learning style? It sounds like you zone out during the 4 hour lecture, which is wasting your time when you could be using it to learn how you learn best

My problem is not zoning out, but the fact that I need to both listen the lecture and then study, or else I don't remember anything well. Just the lecture is not enough. Also, this doesn't apply to just the CPA exam. Throughout grade school and college, I always had this problem, even though I had decent grades (3.4/4.0 in college). So I don't understand how people could just listen to a lecture and do well in anything, including the Becker questions.

It sounds like there is a disconnect on how you learn…from what I reading though, is you seem to pick up the concepts when doing practice problems?

I was like you in college – didn't learn in lectures, but when doing the homework that evening, it started to click.
