I have the Becker Online FastPass and am unbelievably frustrated with this review course. I feel like the lectures are a HUGE waste of time. I really do not need somebody to READ THE TEXT ALOUD and tell me to HIGHLIGHT everything I read. Tim or whoever is doing F3 does not explain shit. I’m sorry, he really does not explain anything besides reread his own material in a repetitive manner.

The only reason I listen to the lectures are for the notes on the side. ANY advice?

For those who used Becker / passed FAR —did the lectures really help you at all to get the material down?

I feel like studying is taking twice as long and I don’t learn anything from the lectures, only when I read the text by myself and go through the examples / homework.

Yeah, it gets pretty frustrating, however, I do pick up some key points that I otherwise wouldn't get. I usually like to read a page, then watch its lecture, then read another page, lecture, and so forth. Then I go back and read the section again and work on the MCQs.

I really think reading the book multiple times and working the MCQs/SIMs 2-3 times is beneficial.

This is exactly why I have a full Becker Review course that I'm not using. I think Becker sucks- at least for people that learn like me. Certainly the material is super complete… Lots more in there than in the Roger review, but I need someone to explain concepts to me.

When you say “notes on the side”, are you referring to the red text things he tells you to write?

If so, you can write down all those notes w/o looking through the video lectures. Just open up the electronic book and all the red notes are there, the same ones he uses in the video lectures. You could just write them all down and then study on your own.
