I was wondering if I can get some advice. I took Bisk Review class for Financial(Far) 2 years ago and still have the lectures and notes. This was right before the inclusion of IFRS material. I have noticed that Becker’s Final Review course is significantly lower priced than the main review course. I am thinking maybe I can get by with just getting the Becker Final review course combined with my old Bisk material to pass the test since financial statements, depreciation methods etc. have not changed much. Am I mistaken? should I get the Becker main review course instead? Thanks, I’d appreciate some advice.

I don't have any advice on Becker, since I'm using Bisk, but one thing you can do is go to the Bisk site and get the last two updating supplements. They post them for everybody.

Also, from what I understand, Jeff's Ninja notes cover IFRS well, so you might just purchase those or the Wiley testbank if cost is a factor.

Thanks. I didn't pass the first time. then got away from the studying for the CPA. Now I want to re-dedicate and try to pass and so many people I talk to recommend Becker. I may just go that route.

I use both and in my opinion, the final review is a must have. I spend the majoirty of my reading going through the Final Review book. I also listen to the lectures while driving too. To me, it drives home the most important information from the full beck class. I would probably credit the full review with my success thus far. I'm not sure how much info I would retain if I had to go back through all the fluff detail thats included in the main course.

jjm1181, great information. Thanks, but cost is definitely a consideration on my part. Since I already have the majority of the course with Bisk(except my software has 2 simulations with 1 essay for the test), I think I will just purchase the Becker Final Review to supplement my older Bisk material. Hopefully Becker has enough IFRS information for me to pass

I think only final review is not enough. the practice in Becker's exam review is very important.
