Becker FAR codification?

I was working on a Becker FAR practice final and noticed that parts of the codification were not included. Can anyone verify this and whether or not you will have access to the full codification on the actual exam? It seems like it will be much more helpful than the AL for REG was. Thanks!

Gleim does not include it all, either. It will all be there on the actual exam. While this means there is more info for you to utilize, it also means more wrong turns and slightly trickier research.

Agreed, it is more useful in FAR than REG but i used it heavily for both tests, as well as AUD.

Thanks! I noticed that the codification for FAR provides you with examples of certain transactions etc. Seems like it will be extremely useful on the actual exam.

Can you guys list an example of a search word where you found examples of transactions? I have yet to see any examples in the codification. Thanks in advance!

    BEC - 76 (1/24/15)
    REG - 82 (4/13/15)
    AUD - 89 (5/31/15)
    FAR - 78 (8/16/15)

Starting right now I'll be strong
    I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

I dont remember exactly (nor could i say so if i did) but the FAR codification helped me with a sim where i had to follow the math and the charts from the literature to arrive at an answer.

Frequently when i was working gleim sims, I'd use the literature. Good example is depreciation: if you forget how many years to depreciate something over or what convention to use, the literature will tell you.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way but the full codification killed me. It was way larger, and way harder to navigate compared to Becker's version. I got the research question wrong on my test due to lack of time. I like the Becker condensed version way better, careful what you wish for!

    AUD: 02/28/15 - 89
    FAR: 05/29/15 - 80
    BEC: 08/03/15 - 81
    REG: 08/27/15 - 76

Is there any way to access the real FASB codification? I see that a login is required…

    Using Becker self-study
    FAR: (82) 175 hours - 1st attempt
    BEC: (XX)
    AUD: (69) 45hrs of study - 1st attempt
    REG: (XX)

You're welcome! 12tang, pretty sure you need to pay for full access if you want to be able to search for things but they make it available free without the search function.
