Am I the only one that is going insane from F2? Please someone tell me that this is the hardest section of Becker’s FAR review? It’s taking like 5 days to get thru the lecture (and actually comprehend stuff) and then the multiple choice is a massacre. Anyone care to share experience/advice?

    Thanks

I too thought F2 was awful. Just do them multiple times and make sure you know how to finish the problem. I believe I got a 40 the first time going through F2 homework. After doing them 3 times I was able to get into the 90s without memorizing answers. I ended up with an 89 on the exam. Be patient and read the questions and you will eventually learn it.

What is the content in F2? I am not using Becker but see the hatred for this chapter around the board!

    REG - 65, 70, 80!
    BEC - 35, 62, 79!
    AUD - 73, 75!
    FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.

Unless you're going for the Becker Promise you don't have to do *all* the MCQs in any chapter. I mean, if you have the time and want to do them of course it's helpful. I didn't have the time so I didn't. Can't remember precisely how many I did but in those huge sections it was nowhere near all, and I passed the first time.

If it's driving you nuts I'd suggest moving on and coming back to it when you review.

    R: 80

While F2 questions were pretty painful, I'm more in pain from F8-F10.

Governmental Accounting can rot in Governmental Hell.

    BEC (July 2013)
    FAR (OCT 2013)
    REG (NOV 2013)
    AUD (JAN 2014)

The CPA Exam is an opponent that not even the Fellowship of the Ring would want to come across.

    I have a long...long...journey ahead of me.

This is so interesting to me. I just finished F2 and thought it was a breeze. It might just be because my job is heavily weighted on revenue recognition, accruals, deferrals etc but I found myself reading through it and not even taking any notes because I already knew most of it. If F3-F10 is easier then that's great news to my ears.

F2 was the only section that almost brought me to tears of frustration. I think there is a 90 question MCQ set in there which, for the first half, I was averaging a 54. I ended up getting an 88 on the actual exam.
