I am using Becker 2011 materials to study for BEC. Does anyone know of any changes to the material in the past 2 years? Has there been anything major that has changed? I’d hate to miss out on easy points by not covering something.

Any information you’re able to offer is greatly appreciated!

Yes there has been changes to chapter 1 and the structure of the book if you go Becker, there are updates you can print out. I don't have the link but go to Becker.com and look under course updates there is a more than a couple of pages you can print and from 2011 updates and 2012, and 2013. Corporate governance, Dodd frank, cobit and internal audit some of the major changes. Also you can supplement your mcq with Wiley test bank and ninja notes. Also look in the wiley section for updates. AICPA released questions are available on becker as well.

I took BEC in November using Becker 2011 and did fine. Doesn't hurt to get the new material, but you should be okay without it. The new “chapter” is just splitting an existing chapter in half (can't remember which).
