    Hi,

I am starting my first Becker class this Saturday (FAR). Does the homework have to be completed before class?

    Thanks!

    Bet

No and my instructor told us not to watch the lectures before hand, either. You are attending a live lecture, so if you watch it online then go to the class it will be the same thing and not a great use of your study time.

I take Becker online, and I like to read the book before lecture (actually, first I read, then hw, then lecture if I have time.) I think it really boils down to your natural learning style. Personally, back in college I always performed better on tests if I read the book. I am not an auditory learner, so listening to lectures wasn't very helpful to me (if I read beforehand, lecture was helpful because it re-enforced what a already knew and/or filled in gaps.) Think about your personal learning style and customize a plan that works best for you.

Motivated by JC. I do it to make God proud.

@Tripin – I agree that reading (and taking your own notes) is a more effective way to digest the material (for me anyway). It is very true that the OP is going to have to develop their own regimen. My suggestion would be to go to the first lecture and see how it goes, then make adjustments. Skimming the book before hand can't hurt.
