Hi all!

I am making my way down the chapters for financial and have noticed that Becker as added a 10th chapter. I took financial back before the 10th chapter was added and was wondering if this is their way of making all the old “optional/read on your own” material into a chapter?

Any thoughts on how much time I should invest in this chapter? Seems like a lot of random topics and I’m not too sure how relevant they are.

They're super random topics. I'm reviewing F10 right now and it's just a bunch of jumbled crap that they put together. I would definitely review partnerships and the derivatives part. Other than that, not a lot of value added in my opinion.

I wasn't prepared so it wasn't a good experience haha. I thought I was prepared but I had skipped over some of the material and didn't actually “learn” a lot of it…I ended up somehow just memorizing multiple choice questions, didn't memorize JE, and pretty much just skimmed through governmental/NFP. I feel much better going into it now though! Well, as good as I can feel for FAR anyways. How's your review coming? I am so ready to be done with the test already

I had a very similar experience. I don't know why I took the exam previously, I was clearly not ready. I've already reviewed everything. I'm doing a final CRAM with Roger. Game plan for the next 3 days is read notes and MCQ's from becker progress tests.

I do feel that i am more comfortable with the material. Fingers crossed for the SIMS

Also, I've been doing JE's as I do the problems so that I'm not just memorizing but understanding them.

I'm doing the same thing! It helps SO much. Especially with bonds and leases, plus if I get a sim that requires a journal entry, I'll be ready. I'm starting my Becker final review tomorrow, (assuming I get through the last bit of the book tonight). good luck on Friday!

Yes, journal entries and T accounts– I was shortcutting those and getting answers wrong because of it. Doing all the steps is helping so much.
