The eBook appears to be gone and I absolutely hate the new look. I use the eBook all the time to research the answer if I don’t know it, so the eBook going away is devastating. I’ve been trying to look at the 2016 version’s eBook but they don’t exactly match up section by section.

    Why, Becker, why???

Yes, the outlines are gone as well. They also do not incorporate the AICPA released questions into the MCQs. I'm disappointed as well, but I do believe the lectures are way more thorough. The skills practice area is great support. For people who just do MCQs to study, they are going to be upset.

I didn't like it at first, but now I really like it. I used to sit through 4 hours of lecture, get to the MCQs, and then not remember anything from the beginning of the lecture, so I'd go to the eBook and relearn the section.

Now, they explain one little topic, walk me through a sim on it, then I practice. Hear it, see it, do it, practice. I feel like this is better prep for me to take the new format. Its so easy to completely screw up a sim even if you know the concepts. I know I need this extra practice.

Someone said you can get the 2017 book for like $15. I'm going to check it out tomorrow.

I agree, so far I don't like the new version very much. But trying to remain open, positive with the new changes and just work with it.
I wish they kept the ebook similar to the 2016 version which I used A LOT at work.

For those who like the outlines: you can save the 2016 outlines in PDF while the 2016 version is still available. just a thought..

Clearly this score release has my brain tied up on other things…

Just realized that you can click on the “lecture” icon while doing the MCQs and it will let you browse the book for that section, and even search other places within the book, without playing the lecture.

Gah. While not quite as good as the way it was, this seems totally doable.
