Ok, I just have to vent here because Becker is just flat out WRONG on Economics….Their lectures were simple and OK so far but when I got to the questions, the answers were plain wrong or half complete. I’m an econ major so I know econ, but I think anyone with a HS background in econ would realize some of the MCQ they give are just plain incorrect.

    Ugh, ok /rant off

I watched the lecture last weekend, but haven't gotten into the questions.

Econ and I didn't mix well in college…hoping just to slide through that portion of the exam. At least it's a small portion!

I minored in Economics in college and I agree. I didn't use Becker but I felt the same way about my review materials. Of course I didn't expect much better when you try to cram an entire subject of its own into one chapter that only makes up 8-12% of one portion of the CPA exam. I thought it was particularly weak on microeconomics and econometrics (which is only tested in the planning & control section, dealing with OLS only).

if you majored in economics and are so smart, how about you skip that part? In my experience, 99% of the stuff made sense. You have supply, and you have demand, it is very basic info.

    FAR 11/13 - 78, BEC 1/13 - 82, AUD 2/23 - 94, REG 5/15 - 86
