Becker Question –

How do you attack BEC 3 and 5?

Any tips on variance calculations?

Other resources used besides Ninja (google,textbooks)?

I just took BEC today. B3 was also a tough chapter for me.  The first time thru the material i watched the lecture and took notes while i did all of the mcqs. I could tell that all of the formulas/ calcs Really hadn't sunk in, but i was getting bored with the topic so i moved on and finished b4 and  b5. (i left 2 weeks to go through all of the mqcs a second time.)The material really didn't end up clicking for me until my second time practicing the questions. I find that I always absorb so much more by going over each section atleast twice. So I guess my suggestion would be study the chapter once and then come back to it and practice some more! However if you are crunched for time this may not be an option. I will say that I felt like the calculation questions on my exam today seemed relatively simple compared to the mcqs i practiced in Becker. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Just do the problems over a cagillion times. Especially the one's in Chapter 5. It will stick. Good Luck!

I'm sitting for BEC in 3 weeks. I missed by one point last time…what I need to know is if I should spend time trying to

understand regression analysis?

I cant imagine there are going to be too many questions on regressions. Other than having an overall understanding of what it does and what it is used for, I would know the difference between a simple regression and a multiple regression. I would also understand the difference between a dependent variable and an independent variable. Here are a couple of “simple” explanations of regressions.
