    Q: Proper authorization of write-offs of uncollectible accounts shoudl be approved in white of the following dpts?

    a) AR

    b) Credit

    c) AP

    d) Treasurer

    A: Treasurer

    In another question from Becker, it states that the function of cash receipts is part of the treasurer dpt and should be separate from the role of writing off receivable. If that’s the case, then what makes the answer to this question d?

    Am I missing something? :-/

    Nevermind, I wasn't reading the question clearly. I see how the audit exam could be tricky. This is a perfect example. lol

    I too am studying for Audit and am finding all these little subtleties!

    I keep turning my head sideways in confusion, then having these little “ah hah” moments after a few minutes…let's hope we both work this out before the exam!
