For the first chapter in AUD B there is a section about the 10 GAAS Standards and the Old Auditor’s Reporting Model. There aren’t pages about this in my book, but there are questions and a 30 min lecture. Does anyone know if this is just a technical error on Becker and that it should have been taken out as it isn’t in the book, or the other way around and I should review it? Just don’t want to waste time and it takes Becker longer to get back to me then people on A71. Thanks!!

it is necessary to understand. originally becker/gleim/etc. were unaware that the old standards would still be tested…or at least that is my understanding. So when becker printed the vB book they removed that info…subsequently they realized it was still testable and added the lectures and updates needed to the video portion. you can go on the website and print the additional pages for those lectures.

No one can speak as to how much is currently being tested, but you do need to know both the old report formats, GAAS standards, etc. and the new Clarity updates.

Thanks for the answer! Went through it and wasn't bad. I have another question someone may be able to answer with Becker AUD B… Has anyone else noticed in the homeworks that the same questions are coming up. In A2 I had questions come up that are exactly the same 2 or 3 times. Is it that there are less questions to make up or is this just me thinking Im seeing double or triple lol

I noticed some questions being repeated as well

My becker materials came with both the Aud A and Aud B books. If you go to your Aud A books, you should find the pages that the lectures are referencing. I've been going over the outline and then just ripping the pages out and putting them in my Aud B book. It isn't ideal, but it has been getting the job done.

Jeff puts together a series of audio lectures and pdf notes that are really a great resource for rounding out your study materials.

I would strongly suggest giving the notes and audio a try for your next section.

lol definitely! where is the study group link? still learning how to use this! Did you take FAR as fast pass and how long did it take you to study for it?

I am doing my first section which is Audit, and feel I spent too much time trying to read the material :(!!

I took FAR as self study and spent about a month studying for it. I took a break after because of some family stuff but I'm now trying to knock the rest of these out this testing window.

I feel like I still have steam going into AUD this friday so I'm hoping for good news with REG and AUD so I can knock out BEC and just be done!
