    Hello Everyone,

This question is for the future CPA’s who are using Becker.

How do you guys take your own notes while using Becker?

Watch videos and take notes? If so, do you write down everthing the instruction talks about? Please share your note taking strategy for Becker.

    Thanks

I am using Becker self study, ninja blitz and Wiley (I am using the paperback version of the testbank)

    Brief overview of study method:
    1. Skim through chapter quickly
    2. Watch lecture videos
    3. Take a lot of notes on what the lecturers emphasize
    4. Complete half HW after lectures half after rewriting notes

@ NicoleL Thanks. I hope I can achieve what you have using Becker. I would even settle for a 75!

Oh trust me…I would have been quite happy with a 75 as well. I had no idea so much had stuck in my brain…or maybe I was just lucky with an easy test. I'll be super happy with any passing score on the rest of them.

    Good luck to you.

    FAR - 93 (YAY!!!!)
    REG - 93 (Double YAY!)
    BEC - 87 (Whew!)
    AUD - 96 (DONE!!!!!)

I'm currently using Becker and I'm thinking of pushing back my REG exam, its currently scheduled for April 28th but I feel there is just way to much information and I'm not sure how to filter out the “unnecessary” information from my notes. For instance, last night it took me 3 hours to finish writing my notes for just the Adjustments and Itemized Deductions section of chapter 2. Granted I think I'm learning but by the time I get to looking them over again which will be in a week or so I'll have forgotten the small but major rules like the ($100) deduction when calculating casualty and theft losses. Knowing that becker has everything in the book that they could possibly test you on makes me feel like I literally have to write something down for everything. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could make my note taking more efficient? Since I've failed AUD twice now I changed my study method to doing the MCQ before making notes and using the ebook to help me with the answers and this allowed me to see what topics they were focusing more heavily on but when I got back to making notes I felt like I still had to write something down for everything.

    AUD: (65)(66) 77
REG: (66) (48) destroyed me mentally.....
    FAR: (68) (66)(69)(71)
    BEC: (63) 75

    I read the chapter

    watch the lectures

    Take extensive notes

try to memorize all my notes

    do MCQs

I'm too afraid of not writing notes as I forget stuff after couple days, so I just carry them around everywhere and reread on the subway, gym etc..

    FAR - 76*, 73, 85
    BEC - 69, 72, 78*, 80
    AUD - 72, 71, 90
    REG - 71, 74, 85

    AFTER 3 YEARS I'M DONE!!!
