Seems like Becker is doing their “Meet the Firms” event in LA and SD next month.

Anyone go to this before and had a good experience? Is it any different from the campus recruiting events that schools have?

Last time I went to one of these (about two years ago) the place was crowded with like 1000 people. Face to face time was minimal at best, and long…. LONG lines. It also seemed pointless because they weren’t hiring or finished hiring for the season. (…this was September of 2009, mind you… what’s the point on the firms coming to a career fair if they are not hiring???) Another thing that annoyed me is that a lot of people who had “meet the firms” events in their own schools would attend this one and pretty much had additional “face time” and reconnect with the recruiters that they met previously… I would say that its an advantage that I wish I had… =/

In any case… I’m hoping that it’s better this year, and hope that the firms that attend are ACTUALLY hiring this time… >_<
