Hi,

I am about to start preparation for BEC from my exam on Nov 22, 2010. I have the Becker 2009 material except for the actual lectures. Will my 2009 materials be good for this upcoming exam ? or is it best to get the 2010 materials from becker or some other review ..any suggestions?

BEC is about the only section you could use old (2009) materials for. Is not like the law of demand will change for 2010, or if the capital management techniques will become obsolete, unlike FASB standards or IRS rules that change yearly. That being said, you will still be missing from Becker's great lectures but it's definitely possible for this section.

I would respectfully disagree with herbert7890…I have used Becker '09 for BEC and AUD and would have use it for FAR if my license didn't expire. The becker website gives updates(pdf and passmaster) for '10 changes. I would say '09 is good for either parts as long as you plan to sit in 2010 and follow the updates.

Yes, I used Becker for BEC (and all parts taken) and the questions asked weren't incredibly difficult like FAR, they were fair and some easy calculation questions

I used Becker 2008 Materials for Regulation and BEC in which i passed both in 2010. You should be alright with the 2009 materials.
