I am just finishing the 2nd lesson of BEC using Becker and am suprised at how difficult it has been. Everything I had heard was that BEC was the easiest section. Maybe it is one of those things that when you practice and understand it gets easier but all these calculations are killing me.

My question is are most of the calculations in the first 2 lectures or can I expect this throughout? What are the hardest lectures?

From what I remember, most of the calculations are in lectures 1-3 and lecture 6. 4&5 are IT and Economics that are relatively easy to grasp if you do all the MCQ. I only used Becker Self Study and flash cards and when I sat for the exam, I feel like there were several MCQ that I wouldn't have been able to answer even if they had allowed me to bring my Becker book into the testing room. I must've either been a lucky guesser or there was a generous “scoring algorithm” for my window. I would recommend supplementing with a Wiley Test Bank if you haven't already. Good luck!

Buddy, I just passed BEC with an 81 using Becker. People probably say BEC is the easiest because there are no simulations and there are a lot of familiar concepts from school. That being said, it still took me 2 to 3 hours just doing 60 questions first time around. Don't get discouraged. You just have to keep practicing and the second, third time you see it, it will go faster and faster.

    Good luck
