Our value does not come from our skills and abilities, as good as they may be; it does not come from our GPA, our job, a promotion from that job to a better job, our success on the CPA exam, or anything of the like; but our value comes from the fact that we have a Creator who loves us, cares for us, and desires to help us navigate the rough waters of this life in a way that provides security, hope, and true, everlasting joy while we anticipate the life to come, with Him.

I used Wiley for BEC to supplement Roger full course and failed. I was really disappointed with Wiley. Roger emphasizes areas that will be heavily tested but Wiley questions were so far removed. I will need to retake BEC (and I already studied 120 hrs) and am going to get NINJA. Going forward (for both AUD and BEC) I am considering NINJA or Becker questions that are available from their website. Even those two combined are cheaper than the Wiley test bank. One thing I did like was that the test bank did have the option for a practice exam to simulate the real thing and I haven't seen that with NINJA (maybe I am not seeing the option?)

tamlange, I know you got a 74,but do you feel that Roger prepared you well for BEC or he skipped many details that were on the exam? I know he has a reputation for just covering enough material for you to pass.

Roger lectures are very much like a college lecture- his lectures cover a lot of material and he does tend to skim over areas but he expects you to go back and read the chapter and take notes, not rely solely on the video itself. I don't think Roger's info was the problem. I learned a lot from the MCQs of both Roger and Wiley, telling me why an answer was wrong or why it was right. I felt like the quality of Wiley questions did not prepare me for the actual test. I spent a lot of time re-taking practice exams rather than returning to homework questions, and the practice exams either asked the same questions continuously or focused a lot on topics that are covered in other sections of the CPA exam. For example, the practice exam only offers 5 SIMs/TBSs and two were really off topic. A lot of the questions asked were material more appropriate for REG or AUD and didn't cover enough BEC topics. Roger emphasizes areas that will be on the test or discusses former questions and I wished I had listened more to what Roger emphasized rather than Wiley.

BEC was the only exam I felt Becker prepared me for. Just my experience. Good luck
