BEC – Becker Study Materials

    Hey guys,

    I just started studying for BEC. I am almost through section 1 of 6 for Becker. Can anyone give me some insight on what sections are the hardest/should spend the most time on? Thanks.

    They're all so different, it just depends on what your strengths and weaknesses are. I thought the economics section (B5) was pretty simple and I found IT to be the most difficult. IT was a fast section because none of the MCQs required calculations but it was still pretty hard, because I don't have much of an IT background. B3 was also somewhat difficult because it was very finance heavy.

    Pretty much agree with @Amanda_88 on this one, but I'd substitute B3 for the second half of B2. I hated variance analysis.

    How about the writing simulations in Becker? Do you think I should put much time into that?

    I glanced over the Becker writing section. I didn't do one simulation practice writing section. Becker does a great job explaining how to set up your response. Understand how to set up your response and focus 95% of your time on learning the material in the actual sections.

    BEC 2 and end of BEC 1 have been significantly harder for me than most of the other sections. I would say then IT for the reasons Amanda explained. James you give me hope since you did not like variance analysis either, you killed BEC!

    I used Becker review + flashcards, Ninja Audio, Ninja MCQ supplement on BEC and REG.
