    Hello all,

I just took the 2 Becker final exams. I did great on the first one, but horrible on the second. The first was was 85 overall and then 64 overall. Why was the second one so much harder than the first?? I take it in a couple days, is there a chance I can still pass???

    FAR - 84
    REG - 86
    AUD - 90
    BEC - 88

KO the test in 5 months even though I am a dummy!

Just go over the questions you got wrong, and move on. Generally Becker questions are way harder than the actual test. Good luck

    AUD: 78
    BEC: 81
    FAR: 73, 85
    Reg: 84

OP, I got a 71 on my first BEC practice final and passed with an 80. Some people might disagree with me, but I wouldn't take those exam results to heart.

In fact, they stress me out so much that for FAR I'm not going even going to do them. Just not worth the negative vibes going into exam day.

    Hope this helps.

    AUD - 02/27/15 - 76
    BEC - 05/30/15 - 80
    REG - 07/25/15 - 75
    FAR - 11/30/15 - 82........Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't even get through the first becker final exam for BEC. The questions were way too hard and making me feel discouraged going into the exam. I Still ended up passing. Sounds like you're in good shape.

    FAR - 75
    AUD - 82
    REG - 83
    BEC - 79

So – I got an 84% on the 1st and a 71% on the 2nd. I took about an hour and a half on the first and 2 hours on the 2nd to get through the multiple choice.

Definitely agree that this did not make me feel good. Got to go over more stuff tonight I guess.

    Those tests were brutal!

Good Luck CPA Slayer! Here's to hoping for questions that we know!

Also – I would like to express my frustration with this question…because I spent way to long trying to figure it out.

Custom Manufacturers uses a job cost system to value its inventory. The company pays its workers $30 per hour and applies overhead at $20 per direct labor hour. The company began the month of May with $5,000 in direct materials inventory and $15,000 in work-in-process inventory. The company purchased $30,000 in direct materials and recorded 7,000 direct service hours in the month of May. The company ended the month with $7,000 in direct materials inventory and $17,000 in work-in-process inventory. What were Custom Manufacturer’s current manufacturing costs for the month of May?

    $308,000

    $388,000

    $378,000

    $393,000

Hard to pick the right answer when there's a dang typo in the options.

Correct Answer is C – $376,000 (not $378,000) as given by the solution (and also explains why I couldn't find where I was off by 2K)

BookLova, the correct answer is $378,000 since that amount represents the current manufacturing costs for the month of May. $376,000 is the manufacturing costs transferred to finished goods.

    The calculation for $378,000 is:
    DM: $5,000 + $30,000 – $7,000 = $28,000
    DL: $30 Per hour X 7,000 hours = $210,000
    Overhead: $20 Per Hour X 7,000 hours = $140,000
    Total = $28,000 + $210,000 + $140,000 = $378,000

    And that's why I hate this test….

I always make it harder than it is…

I was wondering if any of you guys have taken the BEC AICPA 2015 released question? If you have, how did you do? Were the questions too easy or too hard?
