Just took my first final exam for BEC and received a 75, 79, and 75 on the different testlets . Am I in good shape? I know I definitely had worse scores on the FAR final exams and still passed but I was wondering how you guys did on BEC in comparison to Becker?

    Thanks and happy studying!

mg – in my experience, you can add 10 points to your Becker score as an indication of what your real test score would be. I'm pretty sure I Remember having a panic attack before I took BEC because I was getting low 60s on the Becker tests.

Good luck next Friday! Looks like we'll be heading to the gallows the same day. Lucky 13 baby!

    REG - 80 (Becker only)
    BEC - 76 (Becker only)
    AUD - 71, 76 (Becker only)
FAR - 65, 74, 81! (Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja notes & Audio)

Yes I remember on the FAR practice exams I got in the mid 60's range and freaked out! Lucky Friday the 13th! You're almost there 🙂

I'm honestly not trying to be mean, but the first Becker BEC test is not very challenging compared to the second one. Even in comparison to the actual BEC test that I took yesterday, I thought the first Becker BEC test was much easier. For me, I think that was a function of the first practice test being 75% repeats of the homework. Just as a point of reference, I received a 91, 91, 91 on the first Becker final exam, and then I received a 71, 75, 75 on the second practice exam. Obviously, I don't know how this translates to a score on the real test though haha.

If I were in your position, I'd try to improve on your weak areas based on the first practice test to try to get your score up a little bit. I'd definitely try to do that before taking the second practice test otherwise it'll be extremely demoralizing.

@Cardinal, I'm positive you got in the high 80's-low 90's with your scores haha. My brilliant friend got a 67 on the second practice final and got a 90 on the actual.

I think you will be just fine, especially since there aren't any sims, you won't be blindsided by the randomness of sims. Make sure you take exam #2 at least 5 days before your actual exam so it won't destroy your confidence and then you can lie to yourself that the 4 days of studying after exam #2 would be enough to pass 😀

For me, my actual score has been about 20 points higher than what I score on final exam…….so it's really hard to gauge based on final exam scores.

    FAR

    exam #1 – low 50s

    exam #2 – low 60s

    real score – 83

    AUD

    exam #1 – avg 66

    exam #2 – avg 63

    real score – 88

Hahaha I know exactly what you mean! I score about 12 points high on FAR than on Becker so I'm not all that concerned, I think if anything I'm pleased I passed my first Becker final. I still have 9 days of studying to go. Have you taken the BEC final yet?

I'm actually afraid to take it LOL. I'm about to wrap up my wiley test bank questions and will probably take the 1st one tomorrow morning and the second one around saturday. I'll post my scores as soon as I take it. It's not gonna look pretty though.

mg – I got a 83, 71, 83 on my 1st BEC Becker practice exam and a 75, 67, 54 on my 2nd BEC practice exam. I got an 86 on the actual exam. I think you're in very good shape, especially with 10 days left. Best advice I can give you is the advice that Jeff gave me: the afternoon before your exam, do every IT question once.

You should be okay. For me, I averaged a 90 for the first exam and a 79 for the second, and ended up with an 88 on the real thing. Becker's exams are way more challenging, and when I went through the real exam, I kept thinking something was wrong because it was too easy. However, honestly, I expected higher than an 88 just from my shock at its simplicity compared to Becker. I'm not trying to be cocky or anything, and obviously it wasn't as simplistic as I thought. It's just once you work so many Becker problems, your brain starts working overtime. I think what got me is the writing, because there were two topics I knew nothing about, one FAR related. You should be in good shape.

    BEC: (4/2012) 88
    AUD: (5/2012) 91
    REG: (8/2012) 82
    FAR: (1/2013) 78 🙂

Thanks for the encouragement guys! I remember with FAR, I though the MCQ's were really manageable and when threw me off was the SIMs so I'm just glad it's predominantly MCQ's on BEC. Although I do have to review Becker's writing recommendations and actually practice some samples.

Hello everyone, my exam in on the 5th and I am just going over all the Becker MCQs that I missed. I averaged a low 60s on my second exam. I took it last weekend which was a bad idea because it totally freaked me out. I was so shocked that I actually forgot all the materials when I was reviewing it.

I have been solving all the Becker MCQs all day and plan on doing that tomorrow before the test. Any advice for me on what I should focus on these last couple hours. I score 88-90% on Becker homework and feel confident when I do it but I don't know what happened on the exam.

Really nervous don't know what to expect on the exam.

    Good to everyone!!!

I got 89, 79, 70. I thought I had variances down. I guess I don't. Also, those effective interest questions kicked my butt. I just blindly guessed on those.

Haha we're right in the same range, I hate variances. I have so much trouble trying to figure out which figures to use.
