    Hello,

I just purchased Becker materials. PLEASE I need some advise on my schedule format and workload! I’ve been out of school for a year, working at a tiny accounting office doing bookkeeping and taxes. I’m a nerd, but I had a ton on my plate in college and got B average in accounting major.

    Scheduled for:

    1. REG: online May 27-June 22 (work 35 hrs/week)

    2. FIN: local college 5 Saturdays Jul 13-Aug 10 (work 35 hrs/week)

    3. AUD: local college 5 Saturdays Aug 26-Sep 21 (work 35 hrs/week)

    4. BEC: online Oct 7-Oct 26 (work 35 hrs/week)

Looking at CHANGING my schedule to:

    1. AUD: Chicago Loop FastPass June 17-24th (off work 2 weeks)

    2. FAR: local college Saturdays 5 weeks Jul 13-Aug 10 (work 35 hrs/week)

    3. REG: online Aug 26-Sept 21 (work 35 hrs/week)

    4. BEC: online Oct 6-Oct 26 (work 35 hrs/week work)

I’m tryng to have 2 weeks between each course to review and test on a Saturday before the next Becker course. I also wanted a live course for FAR to get study buddies from the class, but I’m skeptical about really absorbing information in 8 hours after a work week. Opinions on purchasing used 2013 flashcards?

My 5cents. I found online/live class Becker schedule unrealistic for situation with job, kids and wife. Just so you know. Life often can not be put on hold and havens forbid you get ill even with a measly cold = lost a few days = disaster. In the retrospect, I would have been better off taking self-study and paying extra taxes on that course than enrolling in regular online.

About F/C. Did not splurged on Becker's cards but made over 530 so far for FAR/AUD/REG on my own either written (majority) or typed.

Becker Class of Jan - Aug 2013: FARB DONE!!!!
    CPA license pending 🙂
