I was in a time crunch trying to finish my BEC material before the exam. Some unexpected things came up and I was not able to put the right amount of time into studying, so I was finishing up B6 2 days before the exam (yikes). I do remember quite a few questions from this material though. No, I did not spend a lot of time on it as I didn't have a lot of time. I watched the Becker lectures, quickly read over the chapter, taking notes on anything that seemed important or things I did not understand, and did the homework one time over, taking notes on all the incorrect questions and looking up those concepts.

I think it is important to do, at the very minimum you should watch lecture/ read chapter. If you only have enough time to go through it once- make it count! Good luck

    AUD- 99 (11/26/2014)
    BEC- 81 (1/12/2015)
    REG- 85 (2/28/2015)
    FAR- ?? (5/18/2015)

Important. It's as fair game as Econ or IT is. Granted the entire Econ chapter all relates unlike B6, these questions can be the difference between a 74 and 75.

    AUD - July 2014 - 76
    REG - August 2014 - 82
    FAR - November 2014 - 78
    BEC - January 2015 - 81

    DONE!!!!

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

    I skipped B6….

Do I recommend skipping B6? Depends on how comfortable you are with everything else. I got weaker on Econ and Strategic Planning, comparable/stronger on everything else.

I am pretty sure the reason I passed was thanks to me getting stronger on the writing portion.

    BEC - PASS (79)
    AUD - PASS (63, 71, 74, 74, 83)
    REG - PASS (88)
    FAR - PASS (58, 89)

My exam is tomorrow. I figure going through B6 one last time can't hurt. There's quite a bit of overlap from NINJA here so it does seem like a lot of the concepts can show up.

My test had quite a few questions from B6. It really can make the difference between passing or not.

I took the test recently. I got questions on everything in Becker, all 6 parts. If your short on time, don't spend too much practicing the Writing examples. 2 of the 3 for me were not related to any BEC concepts at all. Of course every test is different. That was just my experience

@Doover Thanks for the input. I am right now on B6 and I am a slow learner I need multiple revisions before my actual exams, So I will say yes I am short on time. Honestly speaking I am bit worried about WC part, as English is not my first language, and I don't know how to practice for such questions.

Any specific advice or tips? Between, Your score is quite good, Congratulations on passing 🙂

    Thanks again..

I read through all the SIMs for Becker just to get an idea of the flow, watched the lecture and read the chapter. The most important part I found was the additional tips section not covered in the video. It's good to read through the examples because they reinforce the information for MCs.

I focused on a formula for all the WCs. 1) a good intro where you restate the question. 2) a body with some developmental language and key words related to the topic. 3) a conclusion where you restate the question again. 4) a final sentence saying something like ” feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions ” (adjusted based on the memo). I also always put my name and position (given in the memo)

I just tried to maintain good form. I could have lost points on this, so don't take it as gospel. It was just my strategy. Maybe find a post on here with someone who scored in the 90s, since they most likely got most of the points.

    Good luck.

I thought I heard that you shouldn't sign your name on the WC

    FAR - November 2014 - 78

I was just giving my strategy cause the OP asked. For all I know I didn't get any of the points. I felt the worst about the WC that's for sure. But i doubt I nailed the MCs 100% so I probably got some.
