I am currently studying for Audit and taking it at the end of November. I’m very pressed for time, but going to give it a shot. If i fail, I would retake it Jan 2014–how different would the material be in the new year? I am currently studying the Becker 2013 Aud B version….would I still be able to use my 2013 book to study for the 2014 exam?

yeah AUD-B is the most current and there will actually be less material for you to cover on the 2014 exam.. then you won't need to know the old GAAS
