I tried the Becker (old school) method of lectures, book, then mcqs. Talk about a time suck and I failed anyways. It didn’t feel efficient. Enlighten me Future and current CPAs. Thanks!

I think there are a lot of people passing with just ninja, but all of these major software packages aren't all that different. Ninja may miraculously strike the perfect chord that resolves all the issues you had with Becker, but I think its more likely that the issue isn't really with the Becker software. Your time spent on this test is going to come down to your learning ability and how you organize your study time.

Your feelings aren't unusual though. I study with Wiley and am constantly feeling like I wish I had just purchased Becker because it seems like Wiley is making me spend hours on topics that I never see on test day.
