67 on my 1st Becker final (REG). Is that a bad sign?

I am taking reg on Saturday. Trying to studying through thanksgiving and make some last minute progress.

Is there a threshold where you’re “safe” regarding these Becker finals? I think I’m on the low end of the border…

I wouldn't say it's a guarantee, but I wouldn't be too discouraged by it. My Becker REG finals were a 62 and a 72 and I came out with a 78 today (yay!). However, I was pretty sure I failed walking out of the exam so if I could have had some time to bring those up a bit, I probably could have saved myself some worry!

I only took practice tests for my first test. I think they provide you with a false sense of security or make you discouraged/anxious. You never know what your exam will look like on test day and it could be a completely different exam. Are you using NINJA or Becker MCQ? I think those scores do a better job of letting you know what you need to work on.

Becker. The MCQs I'm trending 83-95 on though.

I'm using Becker MCQs. What I find absolutely odd on this one is that my MCQs are trending across the 10 chapters on progress tests from 83-95. The 67 on that final is somewhat out of left field. I'm just cranking out MCQs now like clockwork. Hopefully, 200 per day through saturday.

I don't think it's that bad, and you have time tomID weakness. I genrally have scored better on the real exam than becker's final.

One piece of general advice – regardless of how hard the exam is – DO NOT PANIC!! You don't know which questions don't count and you don't know how the questions are weighted. Anyone who says there isn't a functional curve is wrong – there is. Period.

Your score isn't “you got 75% right, you have a 75”. It's which you got right and how they're weighed. Don't panic.

I left my first possible I'd failed. It targeted everything I don't like and didn't spend as much time on (fine detail). I didn't get many questions in the hard stuff I'd painstakingly studied.

    89. You don't know! Don't panic, stay cool.

The first time I took REG I got a 68 or 69. I just retook it and got an 84. Don't lose hope
