2015 Becker current enough for REG?

    Hi All,

    I’m starting to study for REG and using Becker that I purchased at the very beginning of 2015. Is this current enough for sitting for the exam in late May? Becker updates any new material if necessary, correct? I’m just starting to go through R1 and seeing exemption amounts and they’re all 2014 vs. 2015 so it is making me wonder a little.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    REG - 85

    ETHICS - 90
    EXPERIENCE - COMPLETE

    I got all of my material from Becker in Dec. 2015 and my REG book says Version 1.2 for “exams scheduled after June 30, 2015. So far this book goes up 2014 and 2015 exemptions as well. I think you're still good.

    I'll be in the same dilemma as well after 4/6. I never use the book anyway, so that won't matter.

    So long as you're in the 18 month period from when you buy, they should update your lectures, questions, and e-book to the most recent versions. That's what they did with my FAR content at the end of 2015.

    @DPSCPA Mine says V1.2 as well. For AUD, a few months ago, Becker updated everything, providing new lectures, questions, and even a new E-book compared to the hard copy (in some sections). So since I'm still on my 18 month plan with them, I trust they would do the same with REG if any changes occurred. So thats good, sounds like we are current!

    I used my 2013 book for REG and i took the exam in 2015 haha. I found I only had to update a few numbers and no major sections were missing maybe the order of the lectures were different but all the material was pretty much the same! However, if you feel that it will confuse you I found that you can order an updated book for $15! I did this for BEC as I noticed a lot changed between my 2013 book and the lectures. It was totally worth it!
