2009 Becker for 2011

    I’m planning to take REG in February 2011. Would Becker 2009 be too outdated to use for this exam? I don’t want to purchase a new course but I will if necessary.

    2011 is shuffling content between sections a bit. I believe some of the professional responsibility stuff you'd see in your 2009 materials is actually being tested in AUD now. The tax and law topics should be fairly solid outside of year-specific amounts. Given the changes of 2011 it might be worth getting new materials. You might still use your Becker materials, but supplement with something else that you can pick up much cheaper.

    I would pick up the 2011 wiley book (around $50 on amazon.com), the online test bank is only $80 as well I think, so definitely a good bargain for under $150. I would use the becker as a supplement, also download the updates for new laws and such for becker. I do agree with Dale and think that new books is the best way to go! Best of luck!

    Thanks Dale and Michelle for your advice! Definitely a good idea to supplement Becker with something else. Becker is really good but too expensive to buy again 🙂

    I have one year test bank pins for $87 (retail is $99 on the Wiley site) and I am currently the only reseller of the access pins.

    Jeff, what did yo mean about the testbank pin? is it for downloading or online use the test bank?

    It is online access – you get 1 year's access (and it auto-updates for 2011).
