    Hello all!

I do not know why or how I did not think of buying new 2013 Becker for AUD or started looking for another 2013 study materials until this last minutes!! I really should have gotten this out of my mind sooo much earlier!! I have passed BEC and REG for the first try only with Becker 2012, so I thought I would be fine for AUD in Nov 2013 as well even though I knew there was some big changes!! >< I can’t really think right now….

But I have been reading the changes regarding the Clarity Standards implemented since July on the forum, this scared the shit out of me now!! I am wondering any remedies at this point???? I have watched some brief videos about how the format and terminology of the audit reports have changed.. I wonder if anyone could give me some last minute advices??? Should I buy the AUD ninja notes? Is there any websites or study materials that I could purchase only regarding the Clarity Standard changes??

I have found some updated notes on Becker websties for Chapter 1,3,5. I don’t know if this is sufficient?

    https://www.becker.com/accounting/cpaexamreview/students/2013_Audit_B_Update_Text2.pdf

I will have some other priorities until next Feb, so I could only take the AUD in november! Please help me! Thank you all!!

FightingCPA, you were able to upgrade to Version B?

If so, the electronic textbook that is provided is the entire material for AUD, including the new changes; therefore, you've already studied a large portion of it. If I remember correctly, I think A1 was the biggest change between the different texts (I had both the 2012 version and the 2013 Version B). Compare your two texts to check, but most of the material (aside from the clarified standards portion and maybe some minor updates) is duplicated and therefore you wouldn't need to restudy it.

    REG - 93 (7/30/13)
    BEC - 90 (8/19/13)
    AUD - 98 (8/31/13)
    FAR - 84 (10/19/13)

@W_HAMILTON Thank you for your advices! Well I couldn't get to update the software, so I will still use the 2012 videos and questions. But I got the Ebook for Version B..

Did you study both Version A and Version B? Are you saying I should just restudy A1, and the rest of Version A will still prepare me well for the test? I do only have the 2012 videos πŸ™ and I found videos are very helpful, so more than the texts..

Also… How did you do 3 exams in 2 months??? and you all aced them!!! Do you study full time?? You surprised me!!

I was going to just use the 2012 material, but then thought about buying the newer 2013 Version B material. I checked around the website and found that I could upgrade for free, and get a newer paper textbook for only like $25. When I studied, I used only the Version B material, but if you have the electronic text for Version B, that should be plenty. You might not get to try many MCQs on the newer material since you can't update the software, but studying the text should be enough to pass. Again, most of the text is the same, as you will probably see.

I would compare the two texts just to be sure, but, yes, I think the biggest change in material was in A1.

As for my schedule, yes, I was in a fortunate (unfortunate? lol) position to be able to study full-time for the exams and wanted to pass them ASAP, so I just really buckled down and tried to pass as many as I could. I studied about six weeks for REG, two weeks for BEC, two weeks for AUD, and had about seven weeks to study for FAR, but only spent about three weeks actually studying for it since I was so burned out from taking REG/BEC/AUD πŸ™

    Good luck to you πŸ˜€

    @Determined CPA

I just finished the Questions for A4.. it's such a pain in the ass!!! Especially the transactions cycles.. I did SO SO SO bad… it's kinda discouraging though!

I did not get the version B from the website.. I actually purchased the Becker from some other vendors.. after I explained to him this morning, he just sent the PDF file to me! But I don't have the updated videos. I guess I will just compare the two text books, just as what W_HAMILTON suggested.

Did you end up getting the final review? Are you gonna update the version B from becker?

@W_HAMILTON thank you for your advice! I think I will do what you suggested, just read carefully A1 once I finish studying the rest.

That is still very impressive that you could get it done so quickly even though you study full time.. I quit my job last month and still have been struggling AUD now grrrrr… good luck to all of us!

@ FightingCPA – I wrote a post last week saying the A4 was extremely overwhelming and was feeling very discouraged. People wrote me back saying to spend half a day re-reading the material and taking notes and re-trying the questions. I did as they said and did slightly better the second time around…A4 and A5 are really giving me a hard time =(

I feel like you and I are very similar LOL

Im not able to find version B so I guess ill just continue with 2012 and hope that the clarity notes are enough to get me a 75. I'm going to buy the final review, but I'm not sure if I should buy 2013 or 2014….audit is a tough one.
