Well, I turned 52 TODAY! I have not passed yet, been on this merry-go-round for a few years now, I guess I was not serious enough in my studies but my mind set is still to pass and live my dream as a CPA. No I am not ready to retire yet….. So thirty what?

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

I appreciate this post today. As I study for Reg after failing last quarter I could hear negative self talk in my head. I was feeling unreasonably late in my career at the age of 32. I admire all of you who did not allow doubt to creep in and was able to succeed! It's never good to give up on a goal.

@Jstew- You learn a lot about yourself going through this process. This exam is every bit as much hard work and determination as it is being smart. Granted there are some people who are very intelligent and manage to pass all four parts with less effort, but the majority of us have to put in the work. It's easy to want to give up after a couple fails, I know I did, but I couldn't look my wife or son in the eye knowing that I gave up not only on myself but them as well.

@mla – well, ok. But, there should be a video for 40+ candidates too.

Don't you know that taking the CPA exam at 34 is like fine wine. It gets better with age ; )

@skynet – how is Phase II going?

@crazyleon – I'm working on it. I'm hoping that dressing up like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle will win her over. Unless she into Master Splinter then I'm Screwed.

@skynet If Phase II isn't really working out, perhaps go for Phase III. I'm sure Scarlett J would be impressed that you're done with Phase I and that might be enough to win her over.
Then again, I'm not expert on winning over women. I'm more of an expert on some other things, but I can't get into details on here or else I'm sure my account would be deleted immediately.
