For a Washington application to take the exam, the NASBA site says the time could be up to six weeks. Has anyone had it take less than six weeks?

    Thanks.

Mine was processed in under 2 weeks (september of 2016) but my buddy it took a full 6 weeks, applied near year end 2017. Think it just depends on the time of year you apply and how many other apps they have to go through. It always says up to 6 weeks though

Colorado here, but required to submit through NASBA. I think the six week figure is used as a worst case scenario.

    5/12: Submit application
5/15: NASBA EMAIL: All documentation to accompany your online application has been received and your application has been placed in the initial evaluation stage. Please allow up to six (6) weeks for this initial evaluation.
5/16: NASBA EMAIL: The initial evaluation of your application is complete and your file is being sent to our Quality Assurance department for review. Please allow 10 business days for the quality assurance review.
5/16: NASBA EMAIL: The Quality Assurance review of your application and supporting documentation is still in process.
5/16: NASBA EMAIL: The Quality Assurance review of your application and supporting documentation is still in process. (THANKS FOR THE SECOND UPDATE!)
5/18: The Board of Accountancy requires that all licensure eligible applications be reviewed and subsequently approved at their monthly board meeting. Please refer to the Board of Accountancy's website for board meeting schedule and agenda. Results from the board meeting are received 1-2 weeks after the meeting date.

Six days to get through NASBA review, waiting on the state board rubber stamp on 6/20!

Yes, there are many factors that come into play. Make sure you don't start counting the 6 weeks from the date you applied. You may apply in January, then have transcripts submitted in February, forget to submit “additional documents” photo/notary form, reference form, etc. The basic “formula” is it takes up to 2 weeks from when your file is complete meaning all documents have been received and its being sent to the coordinator for evaluation… ALSO, make sure you list and submit all transcripts from all U.S. Colleges you attended. If you apply, list only one school, then your file gets sent for an evaluation and you have transfer credit, you will get an email requesting that additional transcript. So, you are looking at about month delay for requesting, mailing, processing, and then the evaluation.

Washington state – application has been in process 8.5 weeks (all transcripts in), has been in EVALREVIEW for a month, keep getting told by phone and email it will be completed soon or by the end of the week. I am hoping everything goes smoothly. Should 8.5 weeks be the norm when it is busy?

Hey cpagoal, let me know the result of the NTS for you as I am in the same boat with having applied 7 weeks ago. I live over in Wisconsin though.

I live in Wisconsin, and it took a little over 2 months. So stressful and frustrating, and it made me miss out on the first testing quarter. I think it just depends on the way the wind blows. HA! Good luck.

    Hi,
I have applied in NH Jurisdiction
I got an e-mail from NASBA telling me that my application has been placed in the initial evaluation stage. Is there a website where I can check the progress / status of my application
    Thank You
