Has anyone from Maryland that recently applied for an exam section using the new NASBA process get their NTS/payment coupon yet. I’m on day 5 of waiting for “NASBA to contact me with payment information”. This new system they’re running is really pissing me off.

I'm going thru the EXACT same thing in GA and I'm beyond livid. Paid for it on 3/6 and still haven't received, yet I've been charged. Called and spent an hour on hold to only be told I have to talk to ONE person…. who is out on vacation this entire week. I have been trying to get ahold of her supervisor every day this week and can't get a response. Today I finally got his email and now all the emails aren't going thru and saying they are blocked (I've tried sending from a 2 different emails as well). I'm livid!!!! The girl I spoke to said that the system messed up when they converted and they are trying to get all the people who were on hold taken care of. Terrible customer service!
March 16, 2018 at 10:48 am #1738430SuperCooperParticipantYup just got off the phone with NASBA after waiting for 30 minutes and I'm about to flip out. We must be looking for the same person because the only person who can fix this issue is conveniently on vacation this week, with no one on backup for situations like this. I'm still waiting to pay for the test, so I guess I'll still have more waiting to do after that since it sounds like they aren't sending the NTS that fast either. Seriously who thought it was a good idea to switch up this whole process.
March 16, 2018 at 5:30 pm #1738830Romney_pParticipantI'm in the same boat as you SuperCooper. I went through the DLLR process Monday and haven't even gotten a notice from NASBA regarding a payment coupon and I heck the Gateway each day and….nothing!!!. This is beyond infuriating, if I don't get my NTS till April and can't schedule for the Q2 testing window (DC area Prometric centers fill up fast) I'm asking MD BOPA for an extension of my FAR credit. Why that a**hat would go on vacation this week, right after a brand new system goes live, is beyond comprehension.
DLLR's old process may have looked like it was a website straight out of 1997 but I got my scores on time and my NTS within 48 hours.
March 19, 2018 at 6:41 am #1740287SuperCooperParticipantYeah, I'm seriously about to go insane. I'm in the same situation as you, this is my last chance before i pretty much lose credit and this is my last section. I just looked at my email again and I was wrong. The only person who can fix this is out until March 26. So two weeks of no answers. I'm going to call again and ask for a supervisor or something because this is completely unacceptable.
March 19, 2018 at 8:40 am #1740380WhitneyParticipant@SuperCooper OMG I just looked and she is out until March 26 for me. Is it Kieanne Figgins? I'm freaking out. Her supervisor is DJ Johns and I've called, left multiple messages, and tried his email and do not get any response. I am LIVID. This is the worst customer services I've ever seen. I don't even know who to complain to since when I tried to talk to someone besides DJ they said no one besides them can help me. His number is 615-880-4251 and email is DJohns@nasba.org. When I call today now it just rings busy. I paid for my NTS on March 6.
March 19, 2018 at 9:33 am #1740414WhitneyParticipantUpdate: I just had DJ call me back. Apparently the Ga State Board release to NASBA for my NTS was not received by them but I should have it now by tomorrow. DJ said email is the best way to contact him and they are swamped with having one person out. Its only him and another person fielding all calls. Not his fault, but I could tell he's not thrilled having a person out during this time.
March 19, 2018 at 12:09 pm #1740789SuperCooperParticipant@Whitney
Awesome to hear! Yes I've been trying to contact Kieanne Figgins too. I ended up calling my state board and they said they sent my info to NASBA but that it probably wouldn't be processed for another week because they're backed up due to the new system switch over. You'd think they would have had the kinks worked out before they fully implemented this asinine system they have now. I'll shoot DJ an email and see what he says. Thanks!March 20, 2018 at 5:18 pm #1743932WhitneyParticipantI am SO frustrated yet again! DJ told me yesterday morning I would have my NTS within 24 hours….. whelp here it is well over that and I still don't have it. I emailed him twice today since he said to follow up and i haven't heard anything back. I can not believe how badly this whole situation with new systems is going. I'm completely fed up at this point!! I don't know WTF to do at this point or who to complain to. It has been over 2 weeks now since I paid for my NTS.
March 26, 2018 at 9:31 am #1749414SuperCooperParticipantSo I got the payment coupon and went to pay and got an error message. Of course it charged my card without showing that I paid on the NASBA site. I tried calling and no one seems to know what the heck is going on. According to NASBA it says awaiting payment. The only person who can help is Keianne who is apparently on the super vacation because she won't respond to any of my emails or voicemails. This entire new system is broke beyond belief. Considering this is my last chance before I start losing credit this is getting beyond infuriating. Does anyone have a direct phone number for a supervisor or something?
March 26, 2018 at 12:16 pm #1749617PamParticipantI submitted for mine on Tuesday night… was told last week to wait 2 full days for the coupon, called Friday was told there's an issue with the feed from MD… I called DJ and left a VM at 1:30 on Friday, no response, I've called him 3x today, not picking up. Ms. Figgins is back, left her a VM and was given an email address (general on top of their direct emails).
I'm flipping out. I failed FAR (again) in March so I have to take it and PASS (or I lose REG) by 4/20 and I'm worried I won't have an NTS in time.
This is insane, it used to be a 2 day process with the DLLR… I don't understand how they can hold everyone to this 18 month expiration if it takes (over the last year) 12 weeks for scoring and 1+ month to schedule.
March 26, 2018 at 12:39 pm #1749621IcemanParticipantWhat does the actual application process order look like? I can't sit until I have college credit for 1 audit course, which I'm currently taking as self paced – hope to be done in a week or so. Should I go ahead and apply and pay to sit in Maine and get the process started then send my transcripts once the Audit hours credit shows up? Or will they not be able to get any of the red tape out of the way before receiving the transcripts to begin with?
March 26, 2018 at 1:24 pm #1749656PamParticipantI just heard back from DJ… not sure how hopeful to be:
Pamela,
Thank you for reaching out to our office. We have located your issue and we are working to resolve this asap. I hope today. Sorry for the delay but we will get this working for you.
Sincerely.
Mr. DJ JohnsMarch 26, 2018 at 1:40 pm #1749666SuperCooperParticipant@Pam
Glad to hear someone got back to you. I still have radio silence on my end. I tried calling again and they wanted to transfer me to voicemail yet again. I offered to just pay over the phone and they wouldn't even let me do that. Like seriously, I'm literally trying to throw money at them and they won't budge. The guy I spoke with was nice though and he said he'd look into it personally but at this point I'm just about at my limit. This is my last shot too before I lose credit at which point I'm throwing in the towel. I spoke with the Maryland Board and it doesn't sound like we would get any special treatment if we somehow miss this testing window either. Between the delays getting the scores due to test changing twice within 2 years and this new portal fiasco I'm pretty sure we've gotten the worst deal out of any candidates so far.March 26, 2018 at 5:13 pm #1749806PamParticipant@SuperCooper
I will say i actually did get my payment coupon today… I cc'd some email they gave me (CBTCPA@nasba.org) and then also submitted a complaint to the main NASBA email and got a response like 20 min later.
I just paid but I have no idea how long my NTS will take.I 150% agree with you about the delays…. it's seriously unreal. I was speaking to a coworker that took her exam(s) in 2015 and she said she never waited more than 2 weeks for a score. I waited 12+ weeks for a BEC score of 73 at which point I had already taken (and failed) FAR and started studying AUD. I crammed BEC in again in Q4 but it had already been 5 months since i looked at the material. Normal circumstances I could have retaken in Q3's window and been closer. I got another 73 in Q4, finally passed in Q1. I passed AUD first time around (thank god) but found out in October I failed Q3 FAR… had to push that back so that I could finish BEC since that was fresher in my mind… fast forward to March 2018, 3 down and tried to retake FAR after not looking at the material in 5+ months (basically giving myself 1 month to review, ugh) and did 5 points worse (I needed 8, went down 5, kill me).
I will also be done, one way or another, in April. My marriage and my sanity can't take this… not with a demanding job and 2 kids 5 & under… seems insane b/c I have ONE more but I'm done.I'm going to start studying (I did start re-reading over the weekend) and go with the assumption that sometime between now and April 19th (my REG expires 4/20) I will get an NTS and can get it scheduled, even if I have to drive to another state.
If I hit this Thursday w/o an NTS – I'll call again and go on hold….
March 26, 2018 at 6:18 pm #1749861PamParticipantmy NTS came, I just paid at like 6pm, so hopefully they are fixing the MD issues rapidly!
