Hello,
I am currently taking LSU online acct course: ACCT 4221 Govt and nonprofit acct and ACCT 4235 fraud auditing. I am about to take the midterm of these courses and feel a little bit worried. Is there anyone who took those courses before? How hard are the exams? Thank you very much!

I took them both before. LSU ODL accounting courses are reasonably challenging classes in that you will need to know the material, but the exams aren't ridiculous. So far the only truly difficult ones for me were intermediate 1 and 2, and federal taxation. I got my highest grades in govt and nonprofit and fraud examination.

I found the mid-term/final to be relatively difficult for fraud, which is why I decided against taking governmental accounting at LSU, despite having already rented the book. I studied relatively hard for that final and barely managed to pass with an 80. I actually think I got a higher score on the CFE than I did on that LSU class (the ACFE doesn't release scores though unfortunately).

I definitely recommend you get the Chegg-study subscription; it cost like 15$/month, but will provide the answers for the questions at the end of the chapter. If you study those (especially the multiple choice, true/false), you should be good for the exam. Usually, they recycle end of the chapter questions or slightly modify said questions.

Are the exam questions similar to those after chapter practice questions?

@Ratfus Thank you for your reply! I notice that the quiz questions is same as the end of chapter questions. So the end of chapter questions merely same as the exam questions as well?

@ysun The end of chapter questions for the 3 LSU courses I took definitely did not help very much with the exams. Study a lot for those exams, they are a HUGE part of your grade in the class. In fact, for whatever reason, regardless of your grade in the class, if you do not pass the final exam you automatically fail the class.
