Looking for some Advice

With the recent score release, I found out I scored a 73 on my last exam, AUD. While that does sting, I am finding it more frustrating and discouraging trying to now schedule my retake. My first credit expires end of October, but per an email from my state board, they claim credits will be extended until the end of Nov. 2020. As of now, it looks like I will not be able to sit for my retake until Sept. I will be sure to check it daily to see if any openings are available, but right now, it just doesn’t seem likely.

My advice I am seeking is, how or what do I do to study for my retake that potentially will not happen for the next 3 months? Anyone else that is in the same boat, what are you doing to prepare?

@CH89 I know it sucks having to wait that long, especially when you were so close and all of the information is still fresh in your mind. Have you considered testing at a center that might be 1-4 hours away? I ask because many people (including myself) are having to take exams in other cities, and some in other states. I'm currently scheduled to take AUD next month at a testing center that is 2 hours from where I live. I plan to drive up the night before and just get a hotel room, so I'll be well rested for the 8am exam.

@Road2CPA – Most testing centers are at least an hour out from me, so I know I'm going to have a bit of a drive. I would prefer not to have to sit for an exam in a different state. Even for this recent take, I had to book a room at a hotel for an 8 am exam. That was a terrible experience for me. I got no more than 4 hours of sleep, and just felt sick that morning. I hope you have a better experience than me.

I'll definitely check on a daily, and hope for the best. It is crazy, in my state Prometric is allowing all programs, but with limited occupation.

Yikes! Luckily I’ve gotten used to sleeping in hotels after having to travel a lot in past jobs. I can lay my head on a hotel pillow and fall asleep within minutes, haha!

Surprisingly in my area the sites are allowing full occupancy with essential tests only, but the seats are still limited. I have a feeling we are getting people from 3 bordering states that have limited occupancy at the majority of their sites.

Definitely keep checking each day. I’m sure there will be a few people changing their minds about their testing day as it approaches. Hopefully something opens up for you.

Great news!! This means that testing centers are re-opening now. I am going to check and see if I can go ahead and schedule me a seat. Lord, I need some progress. :-/ (studying revenue recognition right now.)

    It begins with a 75
