Personally I'd take FAR again as it is probably most fresh in your mind, unless you already started studying for AUD. Getting FAR in and then studying for AUD by 12/4/17 may be difficult seeing that you said you failed badly. I don't know how much prep time you had the first time around, but seems like you would probably need to increase your prep time for FAR. I would not take FAR ASAP you need to prepare from the beginning.

    AUD - 92
    BEC - 79
    REG - August
    FAR - TBD

Id go back to FAR but make sure you have an exam date locked in and stick to schedule. My recent attempt mistake was studying for too long (3 months) so constantly slacked off and said I could pick up studying the next day and so on… I eventually fell behind the materials and postponed 2x. I think that is one major reason why (myself) or anyone would get such a low score.. Playing catch up and skimming through the material not fully learning due to time constraint when there was lot of time to begin with. Point is dont fall behind and give ample time to review. I know we can do it if we have the discipline.

It depends, what do you think lead to such a low score? Not enough time, focus, dedication? Did you underestimate the exam? Did you have a routine? Did you get burnt out and quit studying? If you think it was due to time and underestimated the difficulty, then reevaluate your strategy and try again. If you were burnt out and quit studying, try a different test.
Since this is essentially an anonymous online forum, there's no shame in posting your score, if you don't want to it's fine but I would like to hear what you received.
If you want some motivation, I think there's a thread that's still active on the front page dedicated to congratulating the user @mtaylo24. He found out on 9/19 that he passed his last exam, I think it was FAR. He posted his multiple/attempt story.

See if you can get a FAR date in October / early November. Not sure how far you're into studying for AUD, but even if you started studying today until 12/4, that's a lot of time for a section that doesn't have many chapters. You don't want to stretch it out too long because then you will begin to forget stuff. So you probably can fit FAR in Q4 as well and still have time for AUD.

I agree with everyone else. I would take a month or so and restudy for FAR. I don't know how bad you failed, but my first exam ever was FAR and there was a big learning curve for me. I scored a 67 and was worried this was a sign I would never be able to pass. I sat down and worked Ninja MCQ for a full month and got to the trending numbers Jeff recommends and it pulled my score up significantly. If you sit for FAR at the beginning of November, that should still give you time for AUD. AUD is pretty simple, especially compared to FAR, so if you buckle down and really focus, you should be able to pull off an AUD pass in about a month. Good luck!

@summer – Congrats on passing! If you can read my other post I made earlier and offer some advice on how you used Wiley/Ninja for the FAR retake. I see we are using the same materials. I just want to know how best to use my time the next 5 weeks. Thank you.

Can you push AUD back to early January? If you failed as bad as you say I would make sure to take your time on the retake. FAR is a lot of material and if you rush you will more than likely just fail again.

Thanks guys! I got a 57 in FAR. So let's say I take a month to study FAR and retake it in late October. I should postpone my AUD to end of Jan since I have not start study for AUD yet.

How easy is AUD? Is it a lot of memorizing? or calculations?

@IwannabeaCPA I am in the exact same boat you are. Too much time, slacking, postponing. I need to retake FAR with BEC expiring end of October. I contacted my state (RI) about an extension due to the extended scoring period and I won't get an answer until 10/17.

Do I cram and try to get my retake in before BEC expires 10/31?
If I go that route, I won't have my score until after 10/31…. if by some miracle I pass, do I keep the BEC credit since I sat before the expiration date?

I just passed FAR this past quarter using Becker as my main study material, but I also used the NINJA Audio to help supplement my learning. If you have a decent commute to work in the morning then you can't go wrong with the NINJA Audio. I listened to the audio content 5 times over the month leading up to the exam and I was able to answer more MCQ's on exam day from the audio tapes than from what I had learned with Becker. It was a great decision. I'm not sure I would have passed FAR otherwise. I highly recommend it, although I believe that I saw you can no longer purchase just the NINJA audio by itself, so you will now have to consider buying the package that it comes with instead.

Do you think taking FAR late November is a bad idea if you plan on studying 4+ hours a day until then?
