Hi Jeff,
I'm confused about FAR changes. I've passed it once when this stuff was included, but lost credit. What do I need to know relating to Derivatives, hedges, and translation and transaction adjustments? Also – no discontinued ops at all? It says as it relates to the income statement. What does that mean? Just that it's net of tax and after income from continuing ops?

Thanks for the RE Firing up the ask Jeff. An advise question how long for a full time student to study BEC My final Exam I hope so, waiting for REG to get back and failed it after 2 fails in the mid 70's. think I should start BEC or get to back to reviewing REG?

Hi Jeff,good afternoon. I have issues to keep getting enough time for study. I am a full-time senior accountant and do housework as well. My study time is reduced due to my long working hours and extra tasks for housework at home. How could you keep the 16-20 hours/week study time and not be used for other tasks?

Hi Jeff,

I just submitted my payment to take FAR & Aud and plan on taking FAR no later than 5/19 so I will have about 6 weeks left to study. I've been studying for about a month(MCQ's every day except Sat) but I haven't felt comfortable moving past blueprint area #1 “Conceptual Framework, Standard-Setting and Financial Reporting”. I don't want to spend too much time in one area but working all of them simultaneously feels overwhelming. What approach do you feel is best at this point?

I was thinking about moving on to the next section but include the prior section, focusing on those two(“Conceptual Framework, Standard-Setting and Financial Reporting” and “Financial Statements”) for the next week and then move on to “Select Transactions” while including the prior sections and so on.

Right now, I can commit to doing 30 mcq's a day(Mon-Fri)or about 2-3 hrs of study, Sat(off), Sun(I attempt 3 sets of 30 while taking a break between sets) or about 4-5 hrs. The sparring videos do help me to understand but I feel like I should spend more time attempting the questions then watching any videos. Any advise would be helpful! Thanks!

Hope this email finds you well. My name is Daniel. I got my bachelor degree in China and I majored in English. I took a few fundamental accounting courses lately, which qualifies me to sit for the CPA exam when combined with my bachelor degree. However, my background in accounting is still very limited. I’ve been studying BEC lately using Becker’s lectures and NINJA’s MCQs. I comprehend and absorb concepts when I study. It’s just not as efficient as expected. If I study at this pace, I won’t be able to pass the exam anytime soon. Do you think passing the CPA exam in several months is doable and realistic at all for a non-accounting major? What kind of a specific plan of cramming do you suggest? I really appreciate your honest and detailed answers. By the way, do you answer questions from emails on your Youtube channel on a regular basis? I’d love to hear you talking about strategies for non-accounting majors and even my question in particular. Thanks much!

A follow up questions, how long do you think BEC should be enough time, again for a full time student and I guess also a part time worker during break hours…as is think of it.
