has anyone used the Yaeger Listen n’ Learn Audio Lecture? I already have the Yaeger self-study materials and was wondering if this may be a good supplement for a person on the go. Thoughts?

I would like to know the answer to this too. I would like to have an audio option, and I would like to know if someone has ever used this.

Do you have a laptop? If so, you could just take that in the car and listen to the DVD's instead of buying another product.

I have used the Yaeger Listen and Learn Audio Lectures for both Audit and Regulation. It was painful to listen to both honestly. Gary is sooooooo dry and boring on Audit, but if you can push through that, it really helped me supplement my studying. I was able to pass Audit the first time and I am attributing that to being able to pick up tips from the Audio lectures. I listened to them all the time! During work, on the drive, and it reinforced certain items. BUT with regulation, it was just too terrible; I could not listen to them. It is all Phil and he had oral surgery so his voice was worse than it is on the lectures. And if you think he is hard to follow on the lectures, he is worse on the audio lectures. Also it was very hard to listen to because he would talk about a situation and go “let's pretend this person has XX in income and then they do this”…I am a visual person and just listening to someone work problems out loud does not work for me. I have to write them down and work through them. So the REG audio lectures were a waste of money for me. Long winded answer but I wanted to let you know how I felt about the two I have tried thus far.

Thanks Mom2two. I heard Gary was monotone, so I was hoping it wouldn't be him for Audit (they had samples for all but audit). I'm all worried to watch his videos lol. I think I will just try the NINJA audio. I think that hearing someone else might help for the audio for all sections. If I don't understand the lectures by Yaeger and hear it different on audio then it might help me understand.

Apbandj – I don't have a laptop. But that is a good suggestion for anyone who has a long commute in their car who has a laptop.

I am also contemplated purchasing an audio lecture for FAR. I will planning on getting Yeagar but based on the above comments i am gonna buy Jeff's instead. I love listening to Jeff voice and he is young and i love looking at him in person so i will just think about how he looks when i am listening to the audio lecture so it will motivate me to learn the material.

    @ jeff

I have one question before i buy …. i already have the Ninja Notes and the flashcards and i want to know if the exact ninja notes is the audio or the audio for FAR is more information or more detailed than the Ninja notes or is the same thing?

    Hope i am making sense.

    Awaiting your response.

Just looked on the Ninja audio page and did not see one available for FAR only audit, so am i to assume that only Audit is available? Well, it that is so my bad.

Good questions – it will contain *less* numbers and detailed examples because that's where audio courses fail – they think their listener can mentally keep track of what you're saying when you start tossing around crazy examples.

Instead, it's concept reinforcement, imagery, and repetition … that's what makes a good audio course.

My goal is to have REG out this week…then FAR…then BEC…fingers crossed!

After reading this thread, I'm a little bummed I went ahead and purchased the audio for Yaeger. Wish I would have just done the NINJA audio.

Some of the listen and learn MP3's are just as a long as the stinkin' video (USB/CD) lectures! Not what I was expecting I guess. Luckily my company paid for this, and I was able to receive a hefty discount for being a Yaeger “convert”,… however I cringe at the thought of wasted money. I hope I can still benefit from the listen n' learn.
