Hello all-

I know this is a stressful week for everyone and I wish good luck to you all! How does everyone feel about using Yaeger for FAR? I am taking FAR on 2/1/11 and am looking for a relatively inexpensive study program for it. Thanks to Jeff, I found a coupon code that takes off $150 for purchasing 1 part! Please let me know your thoughts and any other suggestions for other study programs.

I sat for FAR on 10/29 and failed with a 71. I used Becker. I ordered Yaeger today mostly due to the testimonials on this web site. I'm still going to use Becker but also use Yaeger. I graduated from college in 2001 so I need a bit more help when it comes to financial accounting. I'm hoping Yaeger puts me over the edge!

It sounds like Yaeger will be a good purchase if you aren't willing to shell out the money for Becker.

I have used Becker twice for FAR and got a 66 & 63. I am pretty sure I am going to purchase at least Yaeger for FAR, if not more. I am also basing it on the testimonials from this website as well.

Wiley Review books… That is all I've used for all 4 parts. 3 down so far, 1 more to go! You only spend about $40 a book on Amazon.

i failed FAR my first try with a 72 using Becker. i ordered Yaeger Cram and passed with an 81 my next try! 🙂 Yaeger clarified several topics for me.

Yaeger is very good for FAR. I love Cindy, she can explain the most complex topics and make them seem like you are sitting in a high school level accounting course. I took far at the end of November 2010. I made an 82 and would have done much better if I had allocated my time more wisely. I didnt see any topic that hadn't been reviewed in the material. If you watch the Yaeger videos, do the MC they assign, and review the questions you miss you should have no problem passing.

I also do most of the questions on the Wiley test bank CD which comes with the Yaeger materials. I have heard a lot of people complain about the test bank but I really like it. It's not perfect but I don't think any of the study materials I have used are.

I just bought Yaeger's home study program and plan to start studying for FAR. I have the 2010 Becker texts from a co-worker. Do you think I am good to JUST use Yaeger, then? I found it encouraging that you said that you didn't see anything that wasn't covered in Yaeger. I guess I was a bit concerned that maybe Yaeger didn't quite cover everything and that I would need to supplement.

Also encouraging that you liked the Wiley test bank. I'm hoping that will work well for me too.
