Any suggestions from those who used Yaeger CPA Review is much appreciated. I am basically reviewing the lectures and multiple choice, then reading the material from the book. My exam is 10/14.

Any thoughts on how to attack the SIMS?

    Thanks,

Be sure to do ALL of the multiple choice questions for AUD in the Wiley book, not just the questions that Gary reviews. Gary also reviews some simulations. Try doing all of the simulations in the Wiley book.

I only had a correspondence course for AUD in college, not 2 or 3 auditing classes like some CPA candidates; therefore, I needed a teaching course in order to pass AUD.

I got a 64 in AUD using Becker. I raised my score 10 points to a 74 by using Lambers (Garland was the teacher) and Gleim. I passed AUD on my third attempt by doing Yaeger's AUD Cram in only 5 days. (Gary went over a simulation in Wiley that was on my exam!)

I suggest that you get Lambers ($300) for AUD (http://www.Lambers.com). Garland (Lambers) teaches like Dr. Yaeger and Cindy for FAR, REG and BEC.

Gary with Yaeger is very good at explaining the multiple choice questions and simulations. However, Gary does not give lectures in AUD. He teaches by explaining the multiple choice questions. I needed more lectures!

I think that Becker's best course is AUD since AUD is 95% memorization. (Yaeger did a much better job explaining and working problems in REG and BEC.) IF you had 2 or 3 college auditing courses, Becker would be the way to go.

I have actually never had an Auditing course, so a teaching course is definitely the way to go for me. As I'm already invested in Yaeger I probably won't supplement unless I don't pass the first time around, but I think reading over the material in the Wiley books is a good way to learn the material.

Call me crazy but Auditing does seem like “common sense” on certain subjects. IMO

AUD is easy to study and difficult to pass. AUD is a tricky word game.
